Holiday Synchronized Skating Camp – Oldsmar, FL 2015

Camp Week

 Winter Break Week 1 – December 21, 22, and 23, 2015

Pre-registration Required

Camp will be limited to the first 35 skaters and registration will only be accepted at time of payment. Registrations can be completed on-line, by phone, or handed in at the front desk.

Daily Schedule of Activities

  • 8:00 –  8:15am   DROP-OFF,  SIGN-IN & SKATES ON
  • 8:15 –  9:00am  ON-ICE DRILLS/TURNS/SKILLS
  • 9:00 – 9:45am   OFF ICE ARTISTRY
  • 10:45 – 11:15am   YOU BE THE JUDGE!
  • 11:15 – 11:45am   MUSICAL INTERPRETATION
  • 11:45 – 12:15pm    LUNCH (Included)
  • 12:45 –  1:45pm  OFF ICE CHOREOGRAPHY
  •  1:45 – 2:15pm   ON ICE CHOREOGRAPHY
  • 215 – 3:00pm   PUBLIC SESSION
  • 3:15 – 3:30pm  PICK UP AND CHECK OUT

Camp Registration Fee

  • Weekly Rate: $150.00
  • Daily Rate:       $55.00

NOTE: A cancellation will result in an administrative fee of $35.00

Important Camp Information

  • Parents will need to sign a liability release waiver and medical form for their child on the first day of camp.
  • All children must be signed in and out each day.
  • Skaters will be supervised by TBSA camp coaches & counselors during camp time only.
  • Skaters need to bring: bottled water, tennis shoes and a yoga mat/towel.
  • On-ice classes will be grouped by age and/or level throughout the day.

Camp Class Descriptions

You be the Judge!: Skaters will learn about the different types of judging systems and test their skills at judging various teams.

Introduction to Choreography: Skaters will learn the different synchronized skating elements and place it to music off-ice.

Musical Interpretation: Skaters will practice using various body movements to increase presentation and expression skills.

Core Strength & Conditioning: Skaters will learn different strengthening, conditioning and flexibility exercises required for synchronized skating.

On-Ice Drills/Turns/Skills: Skaters will learn and practice various on-ice skills including strep sequences, turns and skills needed for synchronized skating.

On-Ice Choreography: Skaters will learn the different synchronized skating elements and place it to music on-ice.
